Abstract
137,386. Hawley, A. E., Crosland, P. F., and Dixon, F. G. Jan. 22, 1919. Shaping and stretching tubular goods upon internal frames. - A wire form for supporting hose and other knitted fabrics while they are being subjected to mercerizing or other treatment comprises a loop a of wire or other material divided transversely at one point so that the ends are capable of disengagement from each other to allow of the welt of the fabric being threaded upon or removed from the loop, and a second undivided loop b passed over the outside of the fabric so as to bear against the loop a, pivoted hooks h carried by the loop b being adapted to engage holes in a plate k carried by the wire form f. The loop b may be sinuous so as to bear against the loop a at a number of points.
