Abstract

1372775 Mounting I.C. engine fuel injectors BENDIX CORP 24 Aug 1972 [20 Sept 1971] 39438/72 Heading FIB Fuel injectors 32a to 32d are mounted between an engine 20 and fittings 30a to 30d on a common fuel supply tube 12 which is fixed to the engine by brackets 22, 24. The injectors are sealed in respective bores in the engine block, cylinder head or intake manifold and bores 50 in the fittings by elastic seals 44, 54 co-operating with cylindrical surfaces of the injector bodies. The injectors may be electro-mechanical and the brackets 22, 24 may support two tubes 12 supplying the injectors of the banks of a V-engine.
