Abstract

1372321 Load supporting platform; container traffic NIPPON YUSEN KK 10 Jan 1972 [14 May 1971] 1208/72 Headings B8H and B8Q A load supporting platform 1 of substantially rectangular configuration and having an area which is a multiple of the area of a standard load container is adapted to be located on top of containers 23 already located within the guides 8 in the hold of a container ship. As shown, the platform is provided with corner fixtures 6 at its corners and at positions on both longitudinal sides corresponding to the projections 8<SP>1</SP> from the guides 8. Recesses are formed between the intermediate corner fixtures to avoid interference with the guide projections 8<SP>1</SP>. Apertures are provided in the upper surface of the platform for the location of stops 11, for securing a wooden retaining frame 13, and of anchoring devices for retaining ropes 17.
