Abstract

1371750 Cryogenic vessels LINDE AG 29 March 1973 [31 July 1972] 15124/73 Heading F4P A system for the storage and/or transportation of a liquefied gas comprises a plurality of storage vessels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 contained in a heat insulated space 8, such as the hold of a ship, and two piping systems 9, 10 arranged one inside the other, the inner system 9 being connected to the liquid spaces and the outer system to the vapour spaces of the storage vessels. Whereas the systems 9, 10 are shown above the vessels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, they can actually extend through the higher zones of the vessels, the outer system being welded to each vessel (Fig. 2, not shown). Agas analyser 18 is arranged in the hold 8 so that, in the event of leakage of the outer system 10, the analyser operates at least valve 17 to close the liquid system 9.
