Abstract
1368343 Polymerization of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene HORIZONS RESEARCH Inc 23 Nov 1972 [23 Nov 1971] 54154/72 Heading C1A (NPCl2)n is prepared by polymerizing a mixture of (NPCl2)3 and (NPCl2)4, wherein the amount of (NPCl2)4 present is in the range 20- 75% by wt. based on the combined wt. of trimer and tetramer, thereby avoiding the formation of a gel. The process may be carried out by heating the mixture at a temp. of 250-300‹ C. at a pressure of approx. 1 mm. Hg.
