Abstract
1363988 Folding tables ANONIMA CASTELLI SAS DI CESARE CASTELLI & C 10 March 1972 [23 June 1971] 11403/72 Heading A4H [Also in Division E2] A folding table comprises a top 2, Fig. 1, and two U-shaped leg frames 3, 4, the free ends of the arms of the U-frames being pivoted to one another and to the top 2 about a common horizontal axis X-X by a pair of bush assemblies, each bush assembly including guiding and limit means to define the folded position in which components 2, 3, 4 are coplanar and lie one within the other see Fig. 3 (not shown) and the use position in which the components 2, 3, 4 are inclined as shown in Fig. 1. Each bush assembly, Figs. 6, 7, comprises inserts 3b, 4b and 8 provided respectively on the free ends of the frames 3, 4 and on the sides of top 2 rotatably held together by a screw 11 engaging in a threaded shaft 12, insert 8 having a sector-shaped projection 13 that slides in an annular recess 15 in insert 3b, and insert 3b having a sector-shaped projection 16 that slides in an annular recess 17 in insert 4b. In the folded coplanar position surfaces 13b and 15b and surfaces 16b and 17b of projections 13, 16 and recesses 15, 17 are in abutting relation. To unfold, initially top 2 and frame 3 are rotated relative to frame 4 through an angle F less than 90 degrees in the clockwise direction with respect to Fig. 1 till surfaces 16a and 17a of the projection 16 and recess 17 abut. The top 2 is then rotated alone in the same direction through an angle f greater than 180 degrees till surfaces 13a and 15a of the projection 13 and recess 15 abut.
