Abstract

1357757 Dispensing cup VENDOPS Ltd 3 Aug 1972 [7 Aug 1971] 37209/71 Heading A4T A stack or stacks of lipped cups 10 supported in guides 4 rotatable around and by spindle 3 driven by motor 5 and gears 17, has the bottom cup lip riding on a pair of concentric tracks 1, 2 which have a discontinuity forming a widening of the space between the tracks to allow a cup to drop therethrough to e. g. a beverage dispensing station, and a second pair of tracks 8, 9 forming a concentric arc over the discontinuity with their ends overlapping and sloping down towards the first tracks whereby as a stack is rotated towards the discontinuity the second cup from the bottom cams upon the second tracks to support the stack and the bottom cup is ported from the stack and drops between the first tracks. A micro-switch 15 operated by cam 16 stops rotation of the stack when over the discontinuity and a further switch just before this point over-rides switch 15 if no cup is present in a stack.
