Abstract

1,019,249. Cup dispensing. N.V. SNELWEGERFABRIEK OLLAND. April 3, 1963 [Sept. 10, 1962], No. 13226/63. Heading B8S. Stacks of cartons in rotatable turret 2 which rotates on shaft 3, are discharged one by one by means of two fixed helical surfaces 12 and 13 which are formed respectively on the outer and inner parts of the fixed base 6. The discharge at 14 is assisted by pusher 16 which is controlled by follower 18 which engages cams 21 formed on shaft 3. Operation.-The lowermost carton of a stack rests normally upon portion 1 of base 6 so that as the turret is rotated the rim of the carton engages between surfaces 12 and 13 so that it is lowered as it rotates with the turret until finally it comes to the discharge aperture 14. At this point the carton is given a downward thrust by pusher 16 so that it falls against guide 23 and is toppled over down shoot 24 to fall base first.
