1354081 Shackles LERBS-GERATEBAU GmbH & CO KG 11 Sept 1972 42118/72 Heading F2Q In a shackle comprising a U-shaped member 1 having shackle balls 7, 8 provided with bores 9, 10 which receive a shackle pin 2, which has a head 16 at one end and is screw threaded at the other end, arms 5, 6 of member 1 are reinforced by ribs 20, the curved portion of member 1 is provided with a recess 4, and the shackle pin 2 is provided with a recess 19 of circular crosssection extending from the screw-threaded end of the pin into the region of the pin contained within shackle ball 7. The shackle balls 7, 8 have diametrically opposed V-shaped recesses 18 adapted to receive a locking pin.
