Abstract

1353441 Caliper gauges WERKZEUGMASCHINENKOMBINAT 7 OCTOBER BERLIN VEB 7 April 1972 16143/72 Heading G1M An electric motor 16 may be operated to rotate a screw 17 and withdraw a nut 18 from a supporting position beneath a weight 14, so that the weight acts through a metal band 13 to pull up a slider 6 mounting a feeler arm 8, and acts through an adjustable spring 21 and a metal band 19 to lower a slider 5 mounting a feeler arm 7. A scale 11 is supported by the slider 6 and a cursor 12 by the slider 5 and the slides and feeler arms are at an angle # to the vertical. A limit switch 24 is provided to shut off the motor, and the bands 13, 19 are guided by electromagnets 22, 23 which can hold the slides 5, 6 when discontinuous surfaces on articles 9 are being measured.
