Abstract
1351872 Waveguides BRITISH INSULATED CALLENDERS CABLES Ltd 2 Feb 1972 [3 Feb 1971] 3811/71 Heading H1W A substantially rigid section of circular waveguide has part of its length taken up by a builtin mode filter which may be at any position along the waveguide. A suitable form of filter consists of a plurality of spaced conductive circumferential rings 13 or a helical coil formed on the exterior of an insulating layer. This type of filter is fully described and claimed in (Specification 1,351,871). One end of the section may be formed as a socket 18 whereby several sections may be interconnected or separate couplings may be used.
