The container may be raised by a winch (not shown) to fill the tube and a float valve 12 provided in the control circuit of the winch so that the direction of drive of the winch is reversed when the liquid in the tube reaches the required level. The tube 5 and container 6 may be connected by a flexible tube 9 or a telescopic tube 10. If a telescope tube 10 is used a reservoir 11 is provided.
