Abstract

1348930 Break spinners; openers VYZKUMNY USTAV BAVLNARSKY 19 July 1971 [20 July 1970 (3)] 33736/71 Headings DID and D1N A feeding device for the opening roller 9 of a break spinner comprises a feed roller 13 adjacent said opening roller 9 provided with a thrust element e.g. a roller 15 supported on pivotal arms 17 which are biassed by a spring 28 from a body 25. The body 25 is adjustable along an arcuate slot 20 about the feed roller 9. A spindle 19 which slides in slot 20 carries the body 25 to which it is fixed for angular adjustment by a device 24 comprising a pin with alternative holes, a locking screw or a toothed collar or flange (35) Fig. 9 (not shown). The body 25 also carries a condensing funnel 26. The contact pressure of the roller 25 is adjustable by varying the spring pressure by means of a screw 30. When adjusted the device is locked in position by a nut on the threaded end of spindle 19. Alternative arrangements of the arms 17 and body 25 are illustrated in Figs. 7, 11 and 13 (not shown).
