Abstract

1347388 Frame filter press HANSENS GUMMI- & PACKUNGSWERKE KG PAUL UND JOHN HANSEN 26 May 1971 [27 May 1970] 17091/71 Heading B1D A frame filter press comprising alternating filter plates 1 and filter frames 2 has an inlet passage for material to be filtered passing through the frames and plates. Each section 5 of the inlet passage defined by a frame is in the form of a channel opening inwardly over the whole thickness of the frame to communicate with a filter cake chamber 2a formed within the frame and lying between adjacent filter plates. The breadth of each channel measured at a line passing through the longitudinal axis of the corresponding sections 4 of the inlet passage passing through the plates is at least equal to the diameter of the sections 4 passing through the plates. The filter cloth 3 is secured by a screwed boss 6 defining the inlet passage plate, section 4.
