Abstract
1341715 Piling and unpiling apparatus POHLIG-HECKEL-BLEICHERT VEREINIGTE MASCHINENFABRIKENAG 12 Aug 1971 37905/71 Heading B8E A combined piling or unpiling apparatus for loose material in a circular dump, comprises a horizontal endless scraper conveyer 4 suspended from a boom 3 attached to a rotatable central column 1, whereby the conveyer which is displaceable parallel to the surface of the dumping site, is movable in a circle and is vertically adjustable relative to the boom 3 through parallel links 5, 6 and a winding arrangement 11, there being no track to support the scraper conveyer in its circular movement. During piling the scraper conveyer 4 is fed with material by endless belts 17, 16 and a trough 19 under the upper run of the conveyer 4 ensures that the material is scraped to the outer end 18 of the conveyer 4, whereafter the lower run of the conveyer 4 piles the material inwardly from the periphery of the dump for uniform distribution of the material. During unpiling, the conveyer 4 scrapes material into a bin 12 at the centre of the dump, from where it is discharged via conveyers 14, 15.
