1338710 Embossing IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 29 June 1972 [2 Aug 1971] 36242/71 Addition to 1168273 Heading B6J In a method of embossing as described in Specification 1,168,273 (Heading B6J) the thermoplastic sheet to be embossed is replaced by a substrate having on one of its surfaces a discontinuous coating of a thermoplastics material, the coating being arranged to face the embossing surface of the non-porous embossing medium. The substrate e.g. paper may be provided with a ground coating which is of contrasting colour to that of the discontinuous coating.
