Abstract

1335938 Refrigerating ELECTROLUX Ltd 3 March 1972 [18 March 1971 (2)] 10097/72 Heading F4H In an absorption refrigerating apparatus operating with an inert gas, to allow proper functioning even when the apparatus is tilted, e.g. as by being mounted in a boat, the condenser system comprises an even number of parts 27, 28 arranged in pairs, the two parts of each pair sloping down to an apex point 29 to which a condensate tube 30 is connected taking the condensate to an evaporator 36. The slope of the condenser parts is greater than the greatest tilt to which the apparatus is expected to be subject. The condenser may have two or three pairs of parts 27, 28, all connected in series, there being a condensate tube from each apex point. All the tubes being connected to a single tube going to the evaporator. The level of condensate in these tubes is below the apex points of the condenser for normal angles of tilt.
