Abstract

1329046 Two-part couplings PRESSAC Ltd 12 Aug 1971 37901/71 Heading H2E A method of securing one part of a two-part electrical connector to a circuit board 5 as disclosed in Specification 1,232,204 is modified in that the portion of the connector which is inserted through a hole in the circuit board is formed with two or more resilient prongs 6a having shoulders which clip under the circuit board surface and hold the connector in place prior to the dip-soldering of the connections 3a; the dip-soldering process also causes heat distortion of the prongs 6a to form a head (6c Fig. 4, not shown) which prevents the connector from being withdrawn from the board.
