Abstract

1325228 Lined cartons JOHN WADDING- TON Ltd 13 July 1972 [14 July 1971] 33013/71 Heading B8P A carton having a lining 42 of high density polythene of 40 to 60 gauge has an opening in the lid defined by perforations 26, 28 and a tab 34 by which the lining can be torn after the lid has been torn back. The lining may be transparent. The carton has adhesive strips 14 by which the lining is secured to the carton and the carton is folded to tubular form with the end flaps finally secured after filling. This construction enables the carton lid to be torn open for inspection of the contents without unsealing the lining. The lining may alternatively be of polystyrene.
