Abstract
1324450 Windows SERVOTOMIC Ltd 16 Nov 1971 53077/71 Heading E1J A window unit comprises a frame with opposite sides 11, 12 of channel-section, a sash with side members 26, 27 which are slidable in the channels and carry abutments 37, 38 engageable with portions of the frame sides, the abutments being removable to permit removal of the sash. The abutment members 37, 38 snap onto rails 33, 34 on the sash side members and guide the sash for its normal movement along the channels. When the sash is to be removed, an abutment is detached from one side of the sash and the side moved into the adjacent channel (Fig. 3), the other side of the sash is then pivoted outwardly (Fig. 4) and removed. The unit may be added to an existing window.
