Abstract
1322747 Drawer assembly SIEMENSELECTROGERATE GmbH 5 Oct 1970 [4 Oct 1969 and 13 Feb 1970] 4730/70 Heading A4B [Also in Division F2] An assembly includes a housing and either a drawer or sliding shelf mounted in the housing by means which comprise a guide rail 1 with upper and lower limbs 19, 5; a bearing rail 6 attached to the drawer or shelf; a front bearing device 4 on the lower limb of the guide rail and having a slide face 7 for bearing contact with the bearing rail; and a rear bearing device 12 on the bearing rail and having slide faces 15 above and below the bearing rail, one for sliding bearing against the lower face of the upper limb, the other for sliding bearing against the upper face of the lower limb, the parts sliding on one another being of plastics material and metal, respectively, or both being of plastics material. Both bearing devices may be snap-fitted into holes in their respective parts. Parts 11 and 18 prevent lateral movement, and the lower of the two bearing surfaces on the bearing rail co-acts with the bearing device on the guide rail to act as a stop. The guide rail may be widened at this point to enable the drawer to be fully withdrawn. A drawer may be of metal and have box-shaped turned-over edges to form the bearing rail. Holes may be provided in the side of the drawer to enable a false front carrying a handle to be fitted.
