Abstract
1321396 Spiral conveyer S W KAAK 9 Feb 1972 [12 Feb 1971] 6124/72 Heading B8A A dynamic store for articles of a predetermined width comprises at least one level (Fig. 2) defined by a set of conveyers 10, 3, 11, 2 arranged in a loop, each conveyer providing a predetermined number (e.g. 3) of parallel runs for the articles, the outlet end of a first conveyer 10 being staggered with respect to the inlet end of a second conveyer 3 immediately downstream thereof by the width of one run so that a spiral path for the articles is defined. If more than one lever is used, the levels are connected by a shoot or conveyer belt so that, e.g. articles entering the store at 18 leave that level by a discharge device at 19 having travelled round the loop three times. On the next level, the articles would travel round a similar loop from the inside to the outside.
