1320715 Dismountable chairs L L THOMPSON 18 July 1970 34934/70 Heading A4J An upholstered seat or chair comprises dismountable side parts, a back part and a seat part, each part including a frame covered at least partly by upholstery material and each part having connecting means secured to the frame through the upholstery material so that before the parts are connected together, the upholstery material between the frame and connecting means is compressed and the connecting means partly embedded in the upolstery so that when the parts are connected together the connecting means are hidden. The connecting means may comprise the projecting tongue of a U or Z shaped member engaging a U sectional retaining member.
