Abstract
1319226 Discharging material from hoppers J G HOGAN 3 Jan 1972 [25 Jan 1971] 3049/71 Heading B8S The discharge orifice of a hopper is opened by rotating vanes 16, Fig. 1 from a horizontal to a vertical position. A shaft 14b is driven and is linked to the shafts 14, 14a by gears 17, Fig. 3, and sprockets 18. The hopper has inner and outer walls 7, 6 spaced from each other at the ends of the hopper and the inner wall is preferably made of nylon. A frame 8, Fig. 2, is vibrated and the vibrations are communicated to the inner wall 7 of the hopper by the shafts 14, 14a, 14b which pass through slots 15 in the outer wall 6 of the hopper but are a snug fit in holes in the inner wall.
