Abstract
1317877 Sintering apparatus GUTEHOFFNUNGSHUTTE STERKRADE AG 12 Aug 1971 [14 Aug 1970] 37853/71 Heading F4B Ore sintering apparatus comprises a casing 9 enclosing the endless sinter conveyer 1 with ignition hood 5 and feed bins 3 and 4 feeding grate covering material and untreated sinter mix, said casing being supplied with air by a fan 10, pairs of bunkers 20 and 11a, 11b feeding said bins 3 and 4, and crusher 7 alternately feeding a pair of discharge hoppers 8a through a changeover shoot 22 and plenum chambers 6 below the grate feeding a waste gas main 28 with an electrostatic precipitator 30. The bunkers 11a, 11b and 20 have covers 14 and are charged alternately by endless belts 16, 19 through branched shoots 17 with control flaps 18. The bunkers are used alternately to fill the bins 3 and 4 via shaker troughs 21 with flap valves 13 and transferable conveyer belts 15, thus forming air locks. The hoppers 8a are similarly alternately discharged by shaker trough 24 feeding a conveyer 31 through controls 25. Ducts 27 having gas-tight seals with the casing 9 connect the plenum chambers 6 with the waste gas main 28, the ducts below the ignition hood having valves 29.
