131,735. Trent Concrete, Ltd., and Sargeant, E. F. Aug. 29, 1918. Corn-silos.-A silo is formed with external doors or shutters A arranged to slide vertically between the walls C of the silo and ladder strings B. In the closed position, the doors are clamped tightly by screws F passing through the ladder strings. Pivoted stops H hold the doors in the raised position until the clamping is effected. Permanent stops G, which also serve as weather boards for the doors underneath, are provided for the doors when these are open. The floor of the silo is not connected to the walls or the foundations, so that it can settle down should the ground on which it is laid subsequently sink. Any faults caused by such settlement can be made good by means of cement.
