Abstract
1315852 Boat building PYE Ltd 19 April 1971 [12 Feb 1970] 6836/70 Headings B7A and B7S A boat is constructed by lowering a prefabricated interior structure 2 into a separately constructed hull. The structure 2 is described as being of wooden construction and the hull of glass fibre reinforced plastics material, but in a modification (not shown) they may both be of metal. The structure 2 includes cabin furniture, pipework, wiring, galley and toilet fittings, flooring &c. (not shown). The longitudinal members 3, 3a also constitute engine bearers 20a, 20 which are covered with glass fibre to reduce the fire risk. The structure 2 and hull are secured together by adhesive and glass fibre, and the boat is completed by the addition of a cabin side and top unit (28) which also forms the top deck (30).
