1315807 Milking plant KOMBINAT IMPULSA VEB 27 Oct 1971 49924/71 Heading AIM A milking plant comprises a milk collector having two chambers 2, 4 each with two inlets 1, 3 respectively attached to milking cups, there being a common outlet 9. A passage 8, which connects the chambers 2, 4 is closable at its ends by pressure-sensitive diaphragms 5, 5'. Restrictive orifices 12, 12' connect the chambers 2, 4 separately to the atmosphere. A control unit, in conjunction with magnetic valves and a time switch, controls the application of a vacuum to the outlet 9; the switch opening, with a delay therebetween, the ends of the passage 8. This opening of the passage 8 evacuates the milking cups thereby allowing attachment to the teats. When a predetermined quantity of milk has been collected, the ends of the passage 8 are closed by the control unit. Air, entering at orifices 12, 12', then causes the cups to drop from the teats, to be caught by a milking gear holder. A pressure transducer ensures that the milking cups are ventilated before the milking gear is automatically swung out of position. A time relay switches the plant off if the milking gear is not re-applied within a prescribed period in the event of, for example, milking cups accidentally dropping from the teats.
