Abstract

1315796 Device for injecting bone VINNITSKY MEDITSINSKY INSTITUT IMENI NI PIROGOVA 29 Jan 1972 4280/72 Heading A5R [Also in Division B3] A device for intraosseous injection of liquid comprises an outer tube 1 with an external thread 2 at a first end arranged to be introduced into osseous tissue, and an inner tube 7 movable within the outer tube and having penetrating means 8 at a first end for penetrating osseous tissue and injection holes near the penetrating means from which liquid passed through the second tube may be injected into the tissue. The first end of the outer tube has claws (6) engageable with claws (9) on the penetrating means Fig. 1 (not shown) to close the injection holes. A restrictor 12 is moveable on the outer tube 1 and may be fixed in any position by a screw 13 to set the depth of penetration into the bore. A head 3 formed on the outer tube 1 and a cannula 11 attachable to the inner tube are shaped similarly so that the tubes may be turned simultaneously by a key designed to fit both head 3 and cannula 11, which may be in the form of polyhedrons. A graduation scale is provided on the outer tube from the external threading, in order that the restrictor may be accurately set.
