1313049 Wells &c P CHIAVES 2 Dec 1971 [2 Dec 1970] 56046/71 Heading E1F [Also in Division F2] In a wellhead discharging water to a conduit at C and comprising a part 8 connected at its lower end to the outlet of a submerged pump (not shown) a vertically movable valve plate 18 closes openings 17 leading to the conduit when flow from the pump ceases. An adjustable stop 19 limits movement of the plate. Electric cables for the pump motor pass through a tube 13 having a vent 20.
