Abstract
1311449 Method of and apparatus for use in making coffee H WAKABAYASHI 25 Oct 1971 [31 Oct 1970 (2)] 49380/71 Heading A4E Apparatus for use in making coffee comprises an upper member 7 having an opening 5 closed by a removable cap 6, member 7 being engagable with the upper end portion of a lower member 1 having a removable filter paper 4, covering its open upper end, and a vent port 3. In use of the apparatus, ground coffee is placed in the lower member 1 and hot water poured thereon, the filter 4 and member 7 then being engaged with the lower member and the assembled apparatus then being shaken to assist in extracting the coffee essence. The liquid coffee is then filtered by inverting the apparatus and the cap 6 removed so that the filtered liquid may be poured from the opening 5 into a receptacle.
