Abstract

1308246 Air humidifier G W SCHOSSOW 10 June 1970 [11 June 1969] 28201/70 Heading B1R A humidifier of the type wherein water is evaporated into a stream of air by means of an electric heating element comprises a water reservoir 13 having within it a heat-insulated chamber 39 receiving water from reservoir 13 through passage 62 and a non-return valve 63, a heating element 44 being positioned within the chamber 39. Domed cover 11 houses a blower 31 which draws air into the humidifier in turn through vents 42, 41 and expels air and vapour through orifices 35, 34 and outlet 58. In another embodiment, (see Fig. 5, not shown), the heat-insulated chamber (77) is open at its lower end and a removable cup (80) is located therebelow to collect scale, water being supplied to the chamber from the reservoir via the cup through non-return valve (83).
