Abstract

1304619 Fuel injection systems SOC DES PROCEDES MODERNES D'INJECTION SOPROMI 11 Feb 1970 [26 Feb 1969] 6671/70 Heading G1N In a fuel injection control system as claimed in claims 1 and 2 of the parent Specification, the delay circuit includes, in addition to the unijunction transistor T805 and the capacitor 806 claimed in claim 2 of the parent Specification, a fixed high frequency relaxation oscillator 29 whose output pulses are shaped into rectangular pulses in a circuit 30, the frequency of the rectangular pulses being that of the frequency of the oscillator but their duration being determined by the main engine operating parameter, e. g. intake pressure, as by the value of a variable capacitor 157, Fig. 5 (not shown), and the rectangular pulses being applied to charge the capacitor 806 until its potential is in a predetermined relationship with the voltage at 801 determined by other engine operating parameters, when the injection period is terminated. As shown, the oscillators 29 is operated in accordance with operation of the bistable multi-vibrator 12, but in a modification, Fig.2 (not shown), the oscillator 29 is operated continuously and an AND gate, operated by the multi-vibrator 12, inserted between the signalshaping circuit and the capacitor 806 in circuit 31.
