Abstract
1303544 Fluid sampling DAMON CORP 14 Dec 1970 [15 Dec 1969] 59258/70 Heading A5R A container 10, for the collection and storage of a sample of liquid comprises a tube 12 forming at its first end 12d a fluid tight connection with a flexible chamber 16 which can be squeezed to expel fluid therefrom and which resiliently recovers to draw fluid into the other end 12a of the tube. The tube is sealed from the chamber at its first end 12d by a frangible seal which may be broken by pulling apart the tabs 24 and 26. The container is supported in a housing 30 formed of opposed panels 32 and (34) with cut outs for the tube 12 and chamber 16, and formed into three sections 10a, 10b, 10c which serve to support the tube 12, chamber 16, and a record panel 18 respectively. The sections 10a and 10b may be separated to help facilitate the analysis of the sample in chamber 16. The chamber section 10b may be further cut along the line 38 to open the chamber for analysis of its contents. A scale 12 is provided alongside the tube to indicate the volume of fluid withdrawn.
