Abstract

1299444 Knitted garments COURTAULDS Ltd 5 May 1970 [6 May 1969] 23023/69 Heading A3V [Also in Division D1] A knitted garment comprises a tubular body 10 and two shoulder partions 13, 14 of U- shaped courses extending longitudinally of the body and thus at right angles to the body courses which extend around the body. Each end stitch of each shoulder course is joined to an end stitch of a body wale during knitting (see Divisions D1-2). The two shoulder portions may constitute a single piece or they may be joined by front and rear flat portions to form a neck opening. The garment may include sleeves 11, 12 knitted integrally with the shoulder portions, to constitute a pullover or dress.
