Abstract

1298941 Valves H WATTS 13 April 1970 [15 Jan 1969] 2500/69 Heading F2V Mixer valve for hot and cold water comprises a casing 17 with a valve chamber having a radial cold water inlet port 25 at one end, an axial mixed water outlet port 28 at the other end and an intermediate radial hot water inlet 24. An axially slidable hollow valve plunger in the chamber has a pair of axially spaced transverse faces 31, 32 controlling the inlet ports, and a closure means 33 on a closed end of the plunger co-operates with a seat 29 surrounding the outlet. The plunger is movable against a spring 34 by a screw threaded operator 8. On opening the valve, the cold inlet 25 is progressively restricted and the hot inlet 24 progressively opened.
