Abstract

1297666 Two-part couplings ARROWHART (EUROPE) Ltd 2 April 1970 [3 April 1969] 54377/70 Divided out of 1297664 Heading H2E The subject matter is included in Specification 1,297,664, the claims being directed to a conductor cord strain relief means comprising two clamp members 60 mounted on the connector body (Fig. 1, not shown) and arranged to be drawn together and clamp between themselves (Fig. 7) a cord C. Cords of smaller diameter may be gripped (Fig. 6) by positioning inserts 66 within recesses 64 of the clamps. The inserts may have ridges on their concave surfaces. They may be of insulating material or stamped sheet metal. Projecting ends of stems 68 of the inserts enable pressure to be applied to them to facilitate removal of the inserts.
