Abstract

1296934 -Watches ZODIAC S A 19 April 1971 [11 Feb 1970] 20656/71 Heading G3T In a watch provided with digital time graduations 5, 6, 7 on rotating discs 1, 2, 3 to show the hours, minutes, and seconds, the discs are further provided with index marks 15, 16, 17 respectively to permit an approximate reading of the time in the conventional manner. Watch glass 8 comprises opaque, incomplete rings 9, 10, 11 and corresponding transparent sectors 12, 13, 14 through which the corresponding ones of the graduations 5, 6, 7 respectively are visible. Each transparent sector has a guide mark 18, and the glass may also carry hour markings or signs around an external ring 19 or on the rings 9, 10, 11. The index marks 15, 16, 17 are visible through transparent annular portions of the glass 8. The graduations and index marks may be applied by engraving or screen printing in a colour to stand out against a plate 4.
