1296749 Peristaltic pump SCIENTIFIC INDUSTRIES Inc 23 June 1970 30484/70 Heading F1F In a peristaltic pump comprising a flexible tube 30 acted upon by low friction rollers 24 (of e. g. PTFE) mounted upon a disc 18 rotated by a motor, a strip 50 of flexible material, e.g. PTFE, having a low coefficient of friction is interposed between the rollers 24 and the tube 30 to reduce wear on the latter. The strip 50 is fixed at its ends to brackets 52, 54, or alternatively the downstream end of the strip may be free. More than one tube may be acted upon by the same set of rollers 24.
