Abstract
1295770 Packages METAL BOX CO Ltd 20 Sept 1971 [7 Oct 1970] 47671/70 Heading B8C A shrink-wrapped package consists of a group of collapsible articles 2 such as plastics bottles, standing on a tray, divider elements to stiffen the package vertically, and a film wrapper shrunk round the articles and tray. The divider elements comprise one or more pieces of fluted cardboard with the flutes vertical and folded to form a pattern of open channels for the articles, such as are defined by the walls 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. In different embodiments, an element may have two or as many as seven walls, and may be used together with single unfolded pieces. Such stiffened packages may be stacked.
