Abstract

1301474 Boxes with apertures for locating contents REED INTERNATIONAL Ltd 8 April 1970 [28 April 1969] 21606/69 Heading B8P A box made from a one piece blank (Fig. 1) of cardboard or corrugated board includes two panels 12 and 13 hinged to side walls 1 and 3 and provided with three rows of apertures 20 for locating the tops of bottles housed within the box. Each of the bottle locating panels 12, 13 has a fold line 18 enabling the main portion of the panels 12, 13 to be depressed into the mouth of the box 3 where they overlap with two of the three rows of apertures 20 registering. Prior to the invention of the bottles, panels 14 and 15 are folded into the box so as to be adjacent the side walls 2 and 4. The base of the box is formed by two inner panels (8 and 10 Fig. 1) hingedly connected to the side walls 1 and 3 and two apertured outer panels (9 and 11 Fig. 1) hingedly connected to the side walls 2 and 4. The apertures 19 in the base of an upper one of two stacked boxes fit over the tops of some of the bottles housed in the lower box.
