Abstract

1295281 Containers MACMILLAN BLOEDEL CONTAINERS Ltd 10 Feb 1970 [10 Feb 1969] 7001/69 Heading B8P A container made from paper, cardboard, or fibreboard comprises a base 1, a surrounding wall or walls 2-5 projecting upwardly and outwardly from the base, and a continuous or non- continuous ledge 6, 7 extending along the wall or walls inside the container to form a support for another like container nesting within the container. The container may be made from a blank with, as shown, extensions 5a of side walls 2, 3 being folded over and either stuck or stapled to portions 4c and 5c of the end walls above the ledge. In modifications portions 4c adjacent the base may be in face contact with extensions 5a, or the end walls may be bent over to form a double wall with the ledge at the top and/or the extensions may be integral with the end walls and secured to the side walls. The portions 4c, 5c and the ledge may be formed separately from the rest of the container.
