Abstract

1,263,203. Carton for cigarettes or the like. WASEY PRITCHARD WOOD & QUADRANT Ltd. 4 Sept., 1970 [21 April, 1970], No. 19017/70. Headings B8C and B8P. A carton, made for example of cardboard, comprises an inner open-topped receptacle 3, preferably partitioned, for receiving cigarettes and the like, and an outer casing formed by two tray-like parts 6, 6 each hinged along its bottom edge to a spine portion 7 of the receptacle 3, the parts 5, 6 and portion 7 preferably being formed from a single scored blank. In an alternative arrangement the portion 7 forms an integral bottom wall of the receptacle 3 and the parts 5, 6 are formed by separate parts hinged to the portion 6. The carton may, for permanent use be made of metal, or synthetic plastics, material.
