Abstract

1292100 Creels COLMAN-COCKER CO 19 April 1971 [18 Feb 1970] 22080/71 Headings DIM and D1J A creel comprises a plurality of yarn bobbin carriers 30 movable on rails 21a, 22 comprising an elongate main railway 21a and a plurality of branch rails 22. The carriers each have a plurality of means 35 for mounting two bobbins P so that adjacent bobbins on adjacent carriers may be topped and tailed together. Tensioning devices 41 are mounted on frames T alongside the creel, and stop motions on a frame S at the end of the creel. The tracks 21a, 22 are monorails and the carriers 30 move by means of wheels 32 therealong.
