Abstract

1291915 Printing on cups H A V VAN DER ROER 22 June 1970 [21 June 1969] 30215/70 Heading B6C In a machine for offset printing the curved surfaces of cups 22, Fig. 4, forme cylinders 20 apply multi-coloured images to offset segments 1 each of which is movable radially of the shaft about which it rotates. Each segment is pivotally mounted on an arm structure 2 through a pivot pin 3, Fig. 3, so that the printing surface may readily align with the cup surface should the latter have slight irregularities. Each segment is normally in a radially extended position relative to the supporting shaft pneumatic means being employed within the arm structure for this purpose.
