1291886 Steam generators SULZER BROS Ltd 4 Nov 1969 [26 Sept 1969] 54051/69 Heading F4B A steam generator comprises at least one, and preferably four, cylindrical swirl-type combustion chambers 20 adapted for the combustion of a substantially stoichiometric mixture of liquid or gaseous fuel with air and which is constructured to liberate at least 10<SP>7</SP> kccl. per hour per cubic metre of combustion chamber volume at atmospheric pressure and on combustion of the amount of fuel required for fullload, and a combustion gas flue 1 having steam pipes therein, the said swim-type combustion chamber or chambers being connected directly to the gas flue without any intervening chamber having radiant-heated heat surfaces.
