1290397 Phosphoric acid; calcium sulphate PRODUITS CHIMIQUES PECHINEYSAINT-GOBAIN and UNION CHIMIQUECHEMISCHE BEDRIJVEN 30 Dec 1969 [31 Dec 1968] 63342/69 Heading C1A Phosphoric acid is produced from natural phosphates and sulphuric acid by continuously feeding the phosphate and an excess of sulphuric acid into a first vessel, maintaining the mixture in the first vessel at a temperature not exceeding 80‹ C. to form gypsum, continuously transferring at least part of the reaction mixture to a second vessel, introducing an additional quantity of the phosphate into the second vessel to form further gypsum and separating the phosphoric acid produced from the insoluble solids.
