Abstract
1289425 Reservoir pens H RIEPE and K DITZE [trading as RIEPE-WERK] 18 June 1971 [17 July 1970] 28822/71 Heading B6P A tube writing pen comprises a tip 1 formed with a bore receiving a writing tube 4 and cleaning wire 5 fixed to a drop weight 2, the tip 1 being connected to an ink reservoir body 20 defining a reservoir 6 at least part of the wall of which is formed of thin and flexible material to permit variation of the volume of the reservoir in response to changes of pressure and temperature, the writing tip being formed without a venting and equalizing channel. As shown, a wall 7 of the reservoir 6 is of thin flexible material and is enclosed within the body 20. The body 20 may be formed with apertures (Fig. 4, not shown). The reservoir may be filled by removing a plug 12 which may be replaced by flap valve means (Figs. 5, 6, not shown). Alternatively the body 20 may be closed at its top end except for an eccentrically located aperture which may be closed or opened by rotation of a cap similarly provided with an eccentric aperture (Fig. 7, not shown).
