Abstract
128,811. Bathurst, A. A. Sept. 25, 1918. Plane-trigonometry calculators. - A trianglesolving device for navigation, aviation, &c. comprises a direction line C<4> and scales B<3>, D, all of which may be rotated independently about the centre of a graduated circle, which coincides with the zeros of these scales. A third scale E has its zero pivoted over the edge of scale D and is slidable upon this scale so as to form for example a triangle of' velocities. Scale E and direction line C<4> are arranged parallel to one another, for instance by the assistance of parallel lines C<5> drawn upon a disk C, which may be transparent so that the extension of scale B<3>, not shown in the drawing, may be seen. Scale B<3> may be arranged upon an arm.
