Abstract
1285770 Pliers WERKZEUGKOMBINAT SCHMALKALDEN VEB 30 Dec 1969 63300/69 Heading B4W In pliers or like tool each arm has either an arcuate recess or an arcuate shoulder or preferably an arcuate recess and an arcuate shoulder which are on a common circle about the pivot point, the shoulders and recesses co-operate and act as stops to limit the degree of opening of the tool. The length of the shoulder is less than that of the recess and in the open position the end faces 7 of the shoulders abut. Preferably the arms are formed of glass-fibre reinforced plastics material and have a leaf spring 6 made integral therewith. The leaf springs co-operate to bias the tool into an open position. The tool may be made from sheet metal with the leaf springs riveted to the arms. Alternative tools referred to are wire cutters, secateurs and nail clippers.
